Things to do in CDMX at night
Before making a decision about places to visit and activities to do at night in the CDMX, we recommend you to check the schedule and restrictions so you can have fun with more security. The number of places open at night in CDMX are endless, but we will only show you some of the best.
You may think it doesn’t sound like much fun, but the reality is different. Downtown Mexico has more than 100 museums and on the last Wednesday of every month, between 7:00 and 10:00 pm, each one of them opens its doors for you to enjoy the night in a different way.
Not only will you see exhibitions and monuments, there are also concerts, film screenings and workshops, guided tours, plus, if you are very lucky you can taste wines, amazing right? It’s nothing like what you imagined.
If you want to get some fresh air, this is the best way to do it. A walk through nature, in view of the castle and in front of the lakes, is breathtaking.
The experience starts from 7:30 to 9:00 pm and you can enjoy it by bicycle or in the little train of the Chapultepec Forest, the most important thing you should know is that in rainy seasons you will not be able to do these tours.
Also known as the Plaza de la Constitución, it is surrounded by very old buildings, museums, little shops and places to eat, you have a lot to do here, although the best day of the year to visit it at night is Mexico’s Independence Day.
The place of the mariachis. If you like to sing valonas, serenata, corridos, traditional mariachi songs, let me tell you that this is your place, your little place in the world. This plaza is known for the above mentioned.
You can hire a group of mariachis and ask for your favorite songs, besides, around the square there are restaurants, bars and to complete the night, you can visit the nearby museums that leave their doors open until very late at night.
Doing this moonlight tour with your partner is very romantic, besides enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, you can also enjoy a different night for only $250 pesos, the attendant will give you four candles to light your trajinera.
The Angel of Independence
It is located on Paseo de la Reforma, it was erected to pay homage to the heroes of the Independence, admiring it will give you a feeling of positive energy and tranquility, this feeling along with the view of the place becomes a beautiful moment.
